This is my friend Rob racing Rule Zero in the EMFCamp round of Hacky Racers. Contenders have to build a budget of £500 to build an electric cart that will compete with others - and all entrants tend to have a silly theme, so it’s quite entertaining to watch even if you’re not following a specific team.

I wanted to try and get some pictures of Rob whizzing by, but unfortunately I only had my 35mm prime at this point, and this is quite a crop to get a reasonable zoom (very grateful for the silly number of megapixels the A7Rii has that lets me get away with this), and so all sense of speed is lost. But thankfully Rob’s intense stare down the track kinda makes up for that :) I tried to compensate for the lack of motion by the framing, which might be a bit heavy handed I guess.
