my name is mwd: photos

My friend Andy took me down to the amazing abandoned buildings down at Pier 94, but it’s something I struggled to capture in general, though I’m happy with this shot of the silos - it captures how tall the are when you’re stood beside them.

One of the things that’s been good about going through all these photos is seeing where my strengths and weaknesses are. I struggled with wide context shots, which is what I tried this day - I’m much more comfortable photoing detail, but here I didn’t really feel I had time to do that, and so it was a great subject I didn’t really know what to do with. Something I now know to work on at least!
