The moon rising over the hills at 8000 feet.. At the time 8000 seemed a big number, but by the end of the trip around Colorado it felt less so. But Estes Park is still a very special place, being set in the most beautiful and dramatic of scenery.

Not the best photo: there’s something there, but I really wish I’d gone for a smaller aperture to get the trees on the hill to be sharp rather than having the occasional star show.
