Looking out over Grand Junction
The views in Colorado National Monument are lovely, but it’s also on the edge of this flat expanse that includes Grand Junction, the city in the distance here, and those mountains on the other side that in a lot of my photos of the area almost look photoshopped in.
I think I prefer the black and white version of this, except for the fact that Laura wore nice contrasting colours to the landscape, and I’d not want to waste her efforts.
At this point we were trying to find Laura a hat to escape sunburn. In less than 24 hours we were in snow that limited visibility to less than 10 metres - Colorado as an amazing set of climates as much as it is of views.
