Kaffa Roastery
Not the most interesting of pictures, but this was another one from the technical challenge I have going with some friends where we share a mediocre RAW file and try to make something of it.
This is a picture I took a few years ago in the lovely Kaffa Roastery in Helsinki. The cafe has tricky lighting, being very dim inside, but with the bright external light, so I had to massively under expose it in camera.
Here I played with split toning in Lightroom, something I’d not used before, to help maintain the difference between the internal and external light sources in terms of colour temperature, which is something I didn’t want to lose as I made the overall light level more uniform. I’m quite pleased with the result.
