We regularly drive up and down the M6 to visit L’s parents, and for years we’ve spotted the variation on this graffiti. It turns out The Pies was a local band who’s graffiti was somewhat more famous than the band itself.

For years I just assumed it was just someone who really liked pies, or perhaps another round in the eternal debate as to whether cake or pie is better.
