Highlands monotone
To help pass the time in lock-down I’ve been playing a fun game with my brother and his other half, both of which are photographers. The game is that each day we share a mediocre raw file that we have in our libraries, and see what we can each do with it. It’s been good fun, and amazing how we each take things in a different direction.
This picture here was taken by by brother, and had some tedious foreground elements I mostly cropped away, and an overblown sky, but at the core is a lovely scene. I totally cheated though an went for a monotone look, as I really found my usual tricks for guiding the eye and balancing the light defeated. But that’s part of the fun - I did something different and new!
