Driving through New Mexico
We drove all day to get from Amarillo, TX to Aztec, NM, and the landscape changed as we turned right at Albuquerque from flatish and warm to more hilly and cooler as we pushed north.
This shot was taken at some point on that second leg from the passenger seat of the car as we pushed on, and to me captures the small towns we passed through and the landscape they’re nestled in.
When I posted this photo today, three years after taking it, I had to use Google Streetview to find where it was taken, and already the shops here have been closed and replaced or rebuilt.
