When we visited Margate last year Dreamland was a film set and rebranded for Empire of Light, but this year it as back to its natural art-deco beauty, and makes a nice contrast with the other building that dominates the Margate promenade, the brutalist Arlington House.

This was taken on the Tamron 50-400 I’d rented for the week. I got the lens as I was doing a wildlife photography course, but what I really liked about the Tamron was it was really quite flexible thanks to that 50 short end, letting me get shots like this that I’d not have been able to get on some of the more standard 100-400 options I could have got.
