Down towards the Forth
A view down towards the Forth, taken in the town of Culross.
I’d rented a 50mm f/1.2 lens for this trip, as I wanted to get some family portraits (which in the end didn’t work out), and it was interesting to work out how to try use the f/1.2 nature of it. Here I feel this shot really would have benefitted from either being still narrower (i.e., proper medium format) or having the far bank of the Forth in focus.
It’s not a bad shot, it captures what I liked about Culross, but I’m not sure it benefitted from such an extreme lens.
