Cumulonimbus over the fens
One of the upsides of living in such a flat part of the world is that you occasionally get to see these impressive cumulonimbus clouds coming from a long ways off, dominating the landscape and foretelling of the storm that its brining.
I’ve taken a lot of photos, and they’re really hard to capture in a way that conveys their impressive nature, mostly because what makes them so impressive in person makes them difficult to photograph, in that the land is so flat, it’s hard to get a meaningful contrast between the two.
Here I feel I’ve managed to at least get a sense of scale, but the composure itself isn’t that interesting.
