I think one of the reasons I enjoyed our US trips so much is that the areas we visited had a sense of open space - perhaps something I miss from growing up in Scotland (not that I appreciated enough at the time). In this part of England there’s lots of land that isn’t towns and cities, but it is mostly given over to farming. If I want to see free space then I have to go visit the sea.

Here I spotted this whilst out on a ride on my motorbike. Normally I can’t motorcycle and photograph - they require require a similar level of concentration for me. But here I had made an effort to just stop and take a few pics of the bike and spotted this bigger machine in action.
