Since I got the 7D I’ve been wanting to try the idea of moving photos, but it’s taken me a while to get around to it. This was my first attempt.
I’ve partly been keeping clear from it as when I first tried it, it became quickly apparent I couldn’t recreate the look I like in my static photos in the moving ones. To get the style I like takes a bit of fiddling in a combination of Aperture and Photoshop, and it’s not something I can readily recreate in say iMovie.
So this represents a first play with the trial for Final Cut Pro X, which gets me some way with the post processing I like. It’s otherwise overkill for what I want, but I’ll try experimenting with it a little over the coming weeks and see how I get on.
Terrible camera shake on this one - it was taken in less than optimal conditions on the spur of the moment :)
