my name is mwd: photos

I posted a picture of a nicer maintained chimney a while ago, and I quite like this image too, but I also felt it might be a nice canvas for some more (probably final for now) pop art experiments.

Originally I was going to have white cloud bubbles, but then I remembered this is a coal power plant (Centrale électrique de cordemais, just outside Nantes in France), so wanted to reflect the contrast between the lovely colours of the chimney and the sky vs the invisible output and/or the colour of the input.

As a total aside, I’m really impressed with the detail the Sigma 30mm lens picked up of the walkways on the chimney.
