Day 219 of 365.
In a break from the normal set of digital cross processing, vignetting, and artsy borders, I sat down today (in the garden of all places) and started to learn how to use the video side of my Canon 7D. I tried a bunch of shots (assisted by the tripod lent to me be top chap Dan), with mostly not very good results :)
The above isn’t in focus - the camera was set to F/1.8, and it really was too narrow for things on the far side of the feeder. I did manage some more in focus shots after this one, but I felt this hungry visitor made for the best shot with any sort of beginning/middle/end.
Don’t expect a lot of these - if nothing else it taught me that I’ve become quite used to having a rich set of post tools for stills that I don’t have for video, but it was a fun afternoon, and I’m glad I was finally able to invest a little time learning how to use my 7D better.
