A weird upward shot of the Arabia factory, Helsinki. Arabia was once one of the biggest ceramics producers in Europe, and now their factory houses the Helsinki University Art & Design department, where my other half ran a conference.

Trying to get the sky not to be dark, dark blue was a challenge - for some reason the Canon had rendered the sky as almost (but not quite) navy blue despite this being during a sunny part of the day. Originally I’d made this a black and white picture, but I wanted to have the red brick show more on the lettering and the chimney, and I think I manage to wrestle it in slightly.
