This year I haven’t, for obvious reasons, got out on the bike much. I’ve avoided the lanes in particular as if I was to break down I didn’t want to require people to have to put themselves at risk just so I can have fun. But given the near perfect conditions and that (at this point at least) things were stable, I managed to get a few runs to my usual set of local green lanes to stretch the bike’s legs a little (this is a particularly flat bit, it gets a bit more bobbly later on).
I’ve said before that I struggle with motorcycle photography, but I quite like this one because of how film has removed some of the detail that would normally be distracting and given the feel of a summary day. The blue in the sky is lost a little here, and there’s some weird orange bleed if you look closely at the bike, but I think it captures my memory of the day better than the digital attempts I’ve made of the same subject.
